Can you think of a better way to show off your new Mazda model, and your holiday spirit, than visiting one of the many Halloween activities around Lee’s summit this fall? We can’t. So, get into costume, load up your treats and head out to one of these spooky haunts!

Kansas City Zoo

The KC Zoo is an inclusive, family-friendly activity that everyone can enjoy. Visit on select weekends to watch the animals smash and snack on fresh pumpkins or stop by from for Boo at the Zoo. Kiddos can trick-or-treat, show off their costumes, and enjoy live entertainment for the cost of zoo admission.

Halloween Parade

If you’re a fan of history like we are (have you heard about Harry Truman’s connection to Independence?), you’ll love the Halloween parade hosted by the Independence Chamber of Commerce. It’s free to everyone and features a variety of fun floats and vehicles from around the area.

Date and Time: 10:00 AM October 27

Night of the Living Farm!

Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead is hosting a fun and spooky Halloween event filled with mad science experiments, hayrides, marshmallow roasts, scavenger hunts, and much more. Suitable for children of all ages and abilities.

Location: 13800 Switzer Road, Overland Park, KS

Dates and Times: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM October 19 – 20 & 26 – 27

The Living Dead

If you would prefer a more adult-themed activity, check out the Living Dead haunted house in Lee’s Summit. Here you have five minutes to escape a ravenous zombie bent on consuming your flesh and those of your companions. Not suitable for children under age 13.

Location: 1021 NE Colbern Road, Lee’s Summit, MO

Dates and Times: 7:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Friday and Saturdays, and Halloween, 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Edge of Hell

Kansas City’s oldest haunted house is back with five stories of terrifying scenes, 45 live actors, state-of-the-art technology and, yes, the longest reticulated python in captivity. Whether you’re there for a scare or to see a Guinness World Record Holder in the flesh, it’s guaranteed to be a good time.

Location: 1401 W 13th St., Kansas City, MO

Dates and Times: 7:30 PM – Close October 6 – 7, 11-13, 18-21, 26-31, November 2-3
