There are tons of fun and family-friendly outdoor activities in Overland Park, KS. Check out some of the items on our list of favorites to add a little flavor to your next adventure — whether you arrive in a Mazda vehicle or not.

Go Ape Zip Line and Treetop Adventure

Zip lines, Tarzan swings, obstacle courses, walkways, and more, all up in the treetops far from the ground. Go Ape Zip lines in Kansas City delivers the thrills the adrenaline junky in you needs. If you’re not afraid of heights you can give yourself a thrill up in the clouds or, if you prefer your experiences with a more down-to-earth view, you can choose one of the many dog-friendly hiking or biking trails or enjoy a round of golf instead.

Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead

If you or that special little person loves animals, Deanna Rose is the place to be. Children can check out the petting zoo, learn about the raptors on display, meet the Bobcat pair, check out the duck pond and more. The farm welcomes tours and field trips and even has a special area for birthday parties too!

Little House on the Prairie Museum

If you’re looking to get a peek into a time gone by, check out the Little House on the Prairie Museum in Independence.  The one-room homestead, once the home of famed author Laura Ingalls Wilder and her family, gives visitors a look at the challenges of life on the prairies during the end of the 19th century, as well as the opportunity to take home a bit of history yourself.

Overland Park Farmer’s Market

A real farmer’s market – not just a few tables on a corner – the Overland Park market features fresh, locally grown produce, unique foods, hand-crafted gifts and décor, live music, and so much more with dozens of vendors and presenters every Saturday from April 14 – September 29 and every Wednesday from May 16 – September 16.

Get Out and Explore

Whether you choose one of our favorites, you head to the zoo, visit an Overland Park restaurant, or catch a live game, consider getting behind the wheel of a new Mazda and enjoying the confidence and protection the lifetime warranty that only Eddy’s Mazda of Lee’s Summit can provide.
